To Break the Power of a Spell
If you believe a spell has been cast against you, place a large Black candle in a cauldron (or a Large Black Bowl). The candle must be tall enough to extend a few inches above the cauldrons rim. Affix the candle to the bottom of the cauldron with warmed beeswax or the drippings of another black candle so that the candle will not tip over.

Fill the cauldron to the rim with fresh water, without wetting the candle's wick. An inch or two of the candle should remain above the water. Deep breathe, meditate, clear you mind, and light the candle. Visualize the suspected spell's power as residing within the candle's flame. Sit in quiet contemplation of the candle and visualize the power flowing and growing with the candle's flame (yes, the power against you). As the candle burns down, its flame will eventually sputter and go out as it contacts the water. As soon as the flame has been extinguished by the water. the spell will be dispersed. Break your visualization of the spell's power: see it explode into dust, becoming impotent. Pour the water into a hole in the ground, a lake or stream. Bury the candle. It is done.

A Memory Spell
I call the past to meet the present,
that the future may be bright.
I bring myself forth from the dark,
and hold me to the light.
Let not the past control my present,

Missing Pet Spell
Get something that belonged to your pet, a blanket, collar, even a bag of his old food, and clear your mind while holding the item. Then, while concentrating on your cat's return, knowing that he will come home, say:

O Goddess of Light
Protect (pet's name)
With your might
Let him feel my love
guiding him home
With help from above
(pet's name), come back to me
My pet and friend you will
always be
Goddess protect him from harm
That he may come back
into my arms

Keep chanting this, and never let yourself doubt that your cat will return.
Put all your love, your worry and your heartache into the words and visualize him coming back. Do this until you feel the spell is finished

Clarity Spell

Here's a spell to help you think first and speak with clarity later. Although most often used for potions of passion and love, sugar (especially brown sugar) works extremely well in protection spells. Although most magickal people scatter salt around their homes as a protective device, one could use brown sugar; however with summer ants and other little buggies that like sugar, this may not be a wise idea (at least not inside your house or apartment). The color brown has two primary associations, although there are others---one vibrational use is for sympathy between two parties or two issues. Another use is for protection, and some magickal individuals prefer using brown although a spell may call for the color black.
Supplies:
Brown Sugar, bowl, brown votive candle, your name on a piece of paper, a brown ribbon, 13 inches long, a lock of your hair tied or glued into the ribbon.
Instructions:
Put the candle in the bowl. Surround with brown sugar (to bring sweet things to you). On the piece of paper, write your name and the words "Wisdom and Power." Hold your hands over the unlit candle, and say:

Holy Mother bring to me words of power, So that whenever I utter any word the thoughts Behind it contains kindness and clarity. Bless me with inner wisdom.

Light the candle. Take a deep breath and see your self being happy and wise. Be sure to capture that feeling-good emotion. Envision yourself speaking with clarity and grace. Tie seven knots in the ribbon, saying:

With knot of one, this spell's begun.
With knot of two, my wish comes true.
With knot of three, wisdom enter me.
With knot of four, I fear no more.
With knot of five, this spell's alive.
With knot of six, my words are quick.
With knot of seven, power's given!
With harm to none. So mote it be!

Stand at the outskirts of the room and begin to walk in a clockwise direction in circles (you will be walking in a spiral) until you reach the center of the room. Hold the ribbon up over your head and proclaim (aloud) your wisdom and your power! Ask for blessings from the Holy Mother. (Note: You can use this spiral walk to enhance any spell.)

Allow the candle to burn out. (Be sure you are doing this in a safe place.) Bury the brown sugar and the remaining candle (if any) in your backyard. Keep the ribbon with you. Anytime you feel nervous, hold it and repeat in your mind, "My words carry great wisdom and power."

Next time someone attacks you verbally, or you want to attack them, ask yourself this Jungian question before you speak, "Is God/dess inside? Or is God/dess outside?" and then speak from the heart.

Artist's Inspiration Spell
Prepare:
Pen, pencil, or paintbrush depending on the art form.
Elmer's glue
Silver glitter
Almond, sage, or vanilla essential oil
A white candle

This is a simple spell to bring you divine inspiration to write and create visual art.
Annoint the candle with the essential oil you have chosen and using an athame or a small, sharp tool, inscribe the name "Brighid" (goddess of poetic inspiration), or if you prefer not to invoke a deity, simply inscribe your art form which you need inspired in. Light your candle and begin.

Squeeze some glue onto a piece of scrap paper and dip the end (not the useable part) of your craft tool (pencil, paintbrush, or whatever) into it, covering about an inch's worth. Then roll the end in the glitter so that it is completely covered. As you do, focus on the inspiration you seek. Say your own blessing over the tool, then situate it so that it can dry without the glittered end getting smashed. The next day, make a few attempts at your art with your newly enchanted tool in hand. Let the inspiration come to you and flow from your mind to your material!

Exam Spell
Write this on a piece of paper and tie both it and a shell to a stone. Cast it into a moving source of water or the sea. As the paper dissolves the spell will be released. Visualise success as you throw it and thank the element for its part in the spell. Later when you feel exam stress or in need of inspiration visualise the shell and a golden sense of calm in your solar plexus. This is not however a substitute for revising as the Old Ones can only do so much!:

Flowing water take my spell,
Bring inspiration to where I dwell,
Bring me success as I visualise this shell,
Help me with my exam hell!

Spell to Become Closer to Your Cat
Preparation: Work with brown candles. Take the following herbs and empower each with its meaning and becoming closer to your pet in mind.

Catnip - Helps create a bond between you
Vervain - For Peace and Protection
Gardenia - For Spirituality
Saffron - For Strength
Apple Seed - For Friendship
Passion Flower - For Friendship

Working: Take 1/2 of the empowered herbs and wrap in a small square of brown cloth and tie it off with a brown cord or string. Take the other half and make a smaller sachet for your pet. Wear yours four days meditating with your pet at least once a day. You can tie the pets sachet on while meditating. After those four days take all the herbs and burn as an incense while sharing a meal with your pet.
